2012 Sailing Olympics Accommodation -
Be part of the UK’s biggest sailing event at Marren …
If you are heading down to Dorset this summer, then take a look at the luxury Sailing Olympics accommodation we have to offer at Marren.
Situated near Ringstead Bay, Dorset, Marren overlooks the Weymouth Olympic Sailing racecourse from 300 feet above the sea. The house, which has been extensively refurbished, is set in six acres of garden on a steep slope surrounded by National Trust land. Apart from being the home of Peter and Wendy Cartwright, Marren is also run as a small, luxury bed and breakfast boutique hotel. For the duration of the 2012 Olympics, Marren will be available to rent on a weekly basis, as a fully-catered Sailing Olympics base. Marren will be the perfect place to entertain friends or corporate clients for the experience of a lifetime.
The luxury accommodation consists of three double bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. The master bedroom suite has uninterrupted views of Weymouth Bay from the bed and a dressing room ; a smaller double room en suite also with views of the Olympic racecourse from the bed; and a larger double room with direct access to the garden across a bridge.
Also available to guests will be the drawing room where there is a 42″ flat screen HD TV and adjoins the dining room. Outside there is a terrace the length of the house overlooking Weymouth Bay and Portland Harbour.
Subject to the wishes of guests full board can be provided and transport to and from Weymouth, plus help with booking restaurants and organising outings.
Marren is five minutes from the Dorset Coast path and two hours walk from Lulworth Cove – all part of the spectacular Jurassic Coast. We are also only seven minutes walk from a secluded beach with crystal clear water.
